Hi,
I managed to send the control panel/status SysEx to my Yamaha P-90 with MainStage 3.2.4. The control panel/status SysEx stores the configuration of the piano such as split, layers, effects, balance etc...

Here is what I did :
1) Record the SysEx with Logic Pro 9 and move the event to the start position ;

- Asks for non-existing update of Mainstage Gives notification that the host is out of date and that Mainstage should be version 3.3, but the latest release of Mainstage is 3.2.4. Asking the impossible here, dear apple.
2) Export to MIDI file ;
3) At patch level, create an external instrument channel with the output to the right MIDI port and MIDI channel 1-16 ;
4) In this channel inspector, in MIDI output, enable 'Send MIDI file' and select the MIDI file.
I did the same for each song (one piano configuration per song) so the piano is well configured each time I go to the next patch.

Check with MIDI Monitor that the SysEx is well sent to your keyboard.
