Hello,

Failed To Check Out License 'hfss_desktop'

2- copy/paste 'license file' to 'admin' folder in your installation path. 3- copy/paste 'patch' and 'Ansoftfix.exe' from your HFSS source to installation path. 4 - you have to run 'patch' and 'Ansoftfix.exe' as 'Administrator' only.namely right click on them and set 'Run as Administrator'. You have to first run patch and next run Ansoftfix.exe. 录入:edatop.com 点击:2741. Win7 64位安装HFSS13,把同压缩包里的hfss12.1crack文件中license.lic放入admin文件夹,ansoft2008fix.exe和hfss12fix.exe放入了HFSS13.0文件夹。. 运行HFSS13仍然有Failed to check out license 'hfssdesktop'.Invalid (inconsistent.

My ANSYS EM Suite 19.2 was working fine the other day but when I went to open the application today it produced a pop up box with several icense errors:

Failed to check out license 'hfss_desktop'.
License server does not support this license (FLEXlm Error -18)
Failed to check out license 'designer_desktop'.

Failed to check out license 'simplorer_desktop'.
License server does not support this license (FLEXlm Error -18)
Failed to check out license 'electronics_desktop'.
System clock has been set back (FLEXlm Error -88)

I tried reading through the ANSYSLicensingInstructionsAndTroubleshooting.pdf but I am unable to perform the solutions provided.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi jwong17,

Can you check with the license server admin to see if at least one of these licenses still valid on the license server ?

    Thanks,

    Win

So right now I am using my license on my personal laptop.

I was able to get a trial version of the software and when I asked if I could just put the license on my personal computer I was told it would be fine.

It was working fine before today but for whatever reason this license error appeared.

    Hi jwong17,

Sorry, I failed to notice the last error (FLEXLM Error -88).

For this issue, please refer to this thread https://studentcommunity.ansys.com/thread/license-manager-error-aa_t_i/

    Thanks,

    Win

Is there a way to just generate a new license instead of changing my computer's time to the future? (I think that if I do this it will mess up my other applications on my computer.)

The reason I ask is that I have 5 licenses with my trial and I am the only one using this software. If the answer is yes should I get in touch with my point of contact that helped me with getting the license first.

I tried using the Licensing Client Installation tool and this is the error that I got. I was reading some more documentation and is stated to run this tool in case there are errors in regards to licensing.

Don't need to run that tools. That tools is used only for Mechanical and Fluids products.

The issue is not about the license file and you should not change your computer time to future. You should search your systems for the file(s) with future date. This is a mechanism in FlexNet licensing to check for the 'current date' and to prevent people from changing their own computer date back to the past to make licenses valid. The reason that it doesn't check the current time/date on internet is because FlexNet licensing can be used without computer accessing internet. You can also find this same issue for other software using FlexNet for their floating license technology.

    Thanks,

    Win
